Dear Admin,

We are a team of researchers at Mc Gill University (Montreal, Canada) presently conducting research on male body image concerns.

Thus far, the study of men's body image has been largely restricted to the dimensions of adiposity and muscularity. Recent research has found that features such as head hair, body hair, height and penis size may be important in one's evaluation of self, with penis size satisfaction being highly correlated to overall appearance self-esteem.

However, little is known about the specific role that 'male genital satisfaction' plays in male body image concerns, and which aspects of the genital area, beyond size, may be important for these 'genital perceptions' (satisfaction with one's genital area).

Our study's aim is to determine which features of the genital area are important for 'genital perceptions' and male body image, and further investigate the factors that may influence one’s evaluations and perceptions (ex: sexual experience, erectile dysfunctions, premature ejaculation, STD's etc.).

We are presently collecting information about this by having men fill out a short 20 minute online survey about their body, genitals and feelings towards them.

Our aim is to help better understand male body image concerns with the purpose of further understanding the factors involved in self-esteem, sexual esteem and self-awareness, ultimately in order to improve quality of life.

It is very common for men to lose sexual interest, it is not always because tehy are no longer interested in their partner. Stress can play a big part of a low male libido.

I would recommend talking about your feelings to your partner, Im sure he will understand. Communication is the key, it is normally the lack of communication which ruins the relationship and not the sexual problems.

I would also recommend trying to add new things into the bedroom such as toys, role play and other things to get him more sexually aroused.

It's a sad fact that many men lose interest in their partners whatever they do... in my own case my wife and I went through a tough patch because for a while I grew almost bored and started looking at other women more... Need to think what you really want from your partnership and work on it if its worth it. Thats my advice to any men expeiencing the same as me...

That is too bad. There are a lot of women that are left unfulfilled in their relations ships. There are a lot of environmental and cultural factors that keep men from focusing on their partners satisfaction. Even with impotence there can be mutual intimacy.
